Family photo-shoot

I was so grateful for the opportunity to shoot my friends and their little girls over the Thanksgiving weekend. We went out to Cherokee Park early Friday morning while everyone else was going crazy with their Black Friday shopping. I'd love to be able to shoot them each year and watch their little girls grow up little by little.

Mid-Ohio Superbike Shootout

My dad and I make a couple trips each year to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH. They do a number is different events up there each year... Indy Car races, Int'l Le Mans Series races, Vintage Car Weekend, Vintage Bike Weekend and the AMA Superbike Shootout. These are a few of my favorite pics from the 2007 Superbike Shootout which featured both professional and amateur racers. I am pretty proud of these shots because this was the first time I tried panning with the subject to blur the background and portray a true sense of speed. They turned out pretty well and I've actually blown up a few of these for framing.

These were taken while looking west into the Louisville skyline as dawn was breaking in the east. Kinda grainy, but I had to ramp up the ISO to get the pics at all.
